Dear CNN:

A child, age 12 or even 13, cannot 'have sex' with a 26-year old. Whether that child is male or female, we call that rape because consent is meaningless below a certain age.

And we call it rape because it is rape. If nothing else, it is a predation upon the naive.

And love is no excuse. If love is really present (which I have a hard time believing), WAIT.

I know a Nigerian who recently told me that in her homeland, women get married at about 13 years of age. Cultural differences be damned; it's sick.
